The old library at Bok was in many ways the belly of the beast. Big and beautiful but with many layers of history in it, the library presented a unique challenge. The goal was to remain true to what it was, but to bring it forward. To do so, the old Chicago grid was saved and kept to add an interesting texture to the ceiling, the floors were polished to pop. It is now home to an incredible natural hair product company.
